Default Celeb Forum Site Changes

Hi All,

I would firstly like to apologise for the site not progressing as I had planned as my other commitments took up a lot more time than anticipated thus leading to a lack of time to dedicate to celebforum.co.uk.

I am currently working through some changes to the site as I try and build the site back up and although it shall be difficult I am determined. I am adding some new mods to the forum and trying to eliminate the dreaded spam messages which is a very difficult task in itself as a few mods I have tried already don't appear to stop some bots from joining and sending out spam pms/messages.

I have added a few mods already which you may see and hope to add a lot more to help enhance the forum and the features.

The task of building the forum back up shall be a hard one and I know I shall be unable to do this alone so if you are interested in helping out as a moderator for the forum please feel free to PM me and I shall be choosing a few to help out.

For those that have stuck by through these times I do appreciate it and hope the forum can one day restore itself and maybe exceed what it once was.

CF

i personally can't see any celeb forum as to what it once was, but glad to hear your reasons why you weren't around. just wish you had time to put in a few mods before you left. i for one told you i was willing to be a mod. but you just chose Wazo and he left. but had you picked a few maybe it wouldn't be as bad as it is now. while i won't be modding ANY forums anytime soon i do wish you luck building this one up.

and yes it will be a very difficult task.

Glad to see you back, as cltcwarrior said about Wazo being the only moderator installed - will be a wise choice to have at least 3 moderators on board. From past experience i suggest who ever to be placed as mods to keep intouch with each other on a regular basis regarding the boards as this will make it easier to know each others input and ideas/thoughts. Even though it sounds a bit much saying 3 mods, this is only to make sure there is someone willing to be about policing the place and getting shut of any ugly spam that filters through and not all work will be placed onto one persons shoulders ie. why Wazo left and having no feedback from the owner.

Can i ask if you will be about a little more often as in answering any queries from the mod staff? If so i might put my name forward to keep a check on things.

Lol, i want to know specifics before i offer my time. I personaly know Wazo and he left after a few weeks due to no feedbackfrom anywhere and he was left to do what he could within mod limitations. We used to admin here for a few years before what you see here and already dealt with one owner. Thing is we had full access and ran the ship tight even when it came to those trying to cause trouble, just a shame the previous owner out priced himself for the forum then just sold the name andnot the database.

Personally I blame you NumbNuts.

You set up a new forum with a new owner, then left after 3 days because he didn't do what you wanted. Then you came back here and now moan about this owner disappearing, when the owner of the forum you set up is still there every day.

You split the community in two, and it's everyone's fault but your own.

Think you have to get your facts straight before posting accusations. I have never set up a forum with anyone aslong as i have been knocking about on forums. There was one guy who wanted to buy the domain name originally but then decided to set up one by himself, he asked me to help because i was admin and had the pull of the staff there at the time and all he was interested in was getting these other mods onto his forum. He made me a mod and still mithered for me to get the others on board.

I was there longer than three days and he became a little hitler reading all the PMs sent between myself and the mods i brought over. There where the odd comments he did not like in the private messages so decided to dish out warnings. When i questioned this about the reading over private messages that where not even sent to him he decided to ban my ip for questioning his rights as the owner of the forum and his given right to read any members PMs.

As for the moaning on here, i'm not doing that as such, im pointing out facts about the amount of spam not dealt with because there is no one about as often to sort it. So am i to blame for the barrage of spam on here or the fact there is no staff about regulary to police it??

Anyhow, i take it from the attitude from your post that you are Robbeh, the one who i was supposed to have set up a forum with lol. Also your place wouldn't of got onto a good start without all my posts and the ones after i left which you decided to copy and paste and call your own. I know all about that from what i was told by the mods who where still there telling me of you posting the duplicate ones to me originally posting immediatley beforehand.

Dear NumbNuts (or Rogue, as you used to be known),

Contrary to what you believe, I don't visit this forum on a regular basis, hence I haven't replied to your message sooner.

Please allow me to respond to your points using hard evidence, rather than the random (and frankly bizarre!) accusations you are making.

Not true - I actually banned you because one night you went around deleting other people's posts for no reason.

Actually - it was you and your friend Wazo that taught me this techique. You will see, Wazo confirms you do this from the following chat log ('GG' or gamesgenius was your old username)

I only post using my own name.
Evidence: The admin of this forum will be able to confirm the poster above, and me, are posting from different IPs.

So, after a year of nonsense and false accusations those are the facts, backed up by hard evidence. I suggest you refrain from insulting me again, as when you do, and I prove you to be lying, it makes you look rather silly.

Regards,
Rob

First of all, apologies if i have got it wrong about the member mix up above.

As the time says it was a dinner time when i deleted those posts and they where my own posts that i marked and deleted, hence why they where all deleted within a minute. The copy and pasting convo was Wazo in jest using me in his copy n paste advice. If i copy and paste, it is only my own posts between forums i visit. As all the mods who i brought over there, they know what was going on and what was being said. I often had messenger convos with them telling me the stuff you where saying about me which i found hilarious as you didn't know me as long as they have.

I note you've severely edited your original post, I can only assume you did so as you realised lots of it to be false.

I have presented evidence here to refute all your allegations.

I have shown you were banned for deleting significant amounts of content - not for any of the reasons you've said.

I have shown a MSN conversation I've had regarding you copy/pasting content.

I have shown all the nonsense you've been spouting about me to be incorrect and false.

You are unhappy with me because you were banned from a forum - I get it. As far as I'm concerned, we should leave the matter there and refrain from mentioning each other again in - it seems to serve no purpose.
